We have some great news to share with OnePlus 5 and 5T users. OnePlus announced that it has finished testing the compatibility of Android 10 on its devices and that a stable version of the operating system is now rolling out to OnePlus 5 and 5T. Therefore, we are advising all OnePlus users to keep their smartphones connected to a stable Wi-Fi network because the update should pop up in their notifications panel.
How to Download Android 10
As previously noted, the new operating system update is rolling out via OTA (over the air) channels. Therefore, all OnePlus 5 and 5T users are eligible to access the update as soon as it is available. We also want to mention that the update weighs in at 1.8GB.
OnePlus 5 and 5T users should also make sure to have enough battery so that the smartphone doesn’t crash in the middle of the update and gets stuck in a boot loop mode. If the update doesn’t pop up in the notifications panel, users can always manually trigger it by accessing the “Search for updates” option in their Settings panel.
What’s New?
This a major release and it introduces lots of exciting features to OnePlus 5 and 5T. The first thing that users will notice after downloading the update is that their smartphones are now equipped with a new UI (user interface). Moreover, Android 10 comes with gestures for navigation and other useful features such as the highly popular OnePlus Game Space.
Final Words
This is the biggest operating system update that OnePlus 5 and 5T have received in the last year and it’s going to take the user experience of their UI to the next level. Not just that, but the update also introduces a bunch of “under the hood” software tweaks that are speeding up performances.
