Chinese smartphone manufacturers usually find it challenging to surpass Samsung, Apple, and Google in terms of sales. However, this is not the case for Huawei which recently became the world’s second-biggest smartphone maker. One of the “secrets” behind Huawei’s success in the industry is the fact that the company never stops producing new smartphones. In fact, Huawei is not going to let the global outbreak impact its release schedule for 2020 and it is planning to launch a new smartphone during the upcoming weeks.
Huawei P40 Lite 5G
Despite Huawei’s best efforts to keep its upcoming smartphones hidden from the media’s eyes, a brand-new leak is showing us that P40 Lite 5G is going to launch soon. According to multiple reports, P40 Lite 5G will first launch in Europe and it will offer a three-month premium subscription to Huawei Music.
The Price Tag
The P40 Lite 5G leak comes from a French news outlet which is reporting that the smartphone will be priced under 500 Euros. This is not cheap, but we have to admit that the price is quite affordable when we consider that Huawei’s new smartphone is 5G-enabled. Furthermore, the French website is reporting that P40 Lite 5G will be available in three colors: Crush Green, Space Silver, and Midnight Black.
Under the Hood
Thanks to previous leaks and benchmark tests, we know that P40 Lite 5G is going to be powered by Huawei’s in-house Kirin 820 5G chipset. This processor ships with big Cortex-A76 cores and it is bundled with a Mali-G57 graphics processing unit.
Another important feature that we want to highlight is P40 Lite 5G’s quad-camera setup that is equipped with a 64MP main sensor. As if this wasn’t impressive enough, the quad-camera setup can shoot videos in 4K.
