However, there are some technical limitations of its time that make the PS4 charger pale in comparison with what’s available on the market today. For example, the PS4 charger doesn’t use USB-C.

The controller works with micro USB, USB type-A, and type-C cables. However, it’s important to mention that the PS5 controller is not compatible with the PS4 cable or the charging dock.
