PUBG Lite is Ending On April 29, Here’s What Fans Need to Know

PUBG Lite

There are many versions of PUBG available for smartphones and one of the most popular ones is PUBG Lite. This is a free-to-play version of the Battle Royale game and what makes it stand out is the fact that it is designed to run on older or lower-end smartphones. If you are a fan of PUBG Lite, we have some bad news to share with you.

Say Goodbye to PUBG Lite

The developers who are in charge of PUBG Lite have announced that the game will end. The Google Play Store downloads have been stopped on March 30th and the game will be officially shut down on April 29th.

Developer Speaks Out

Check out the statement below to see the full statement from KRafton, the company in charge of PUBG Lite.

“We are deeply grateful for the passion and support from the astounding number of PUBG LITE fans that have been with us. During the strenuous times of the COVID-19 pandemic, we hope that PUBG LITE was able to provide our fans a fun way to stay safe.”

“Unfortunately, we have made the difficult decision to close service after much deliberation and the time has come for our journey to end. We regretfully inform you that service of PUBG LITE is scheduled to end on April 29th, 2021 (UTC).”

Termination Schedule

The game will end on April 29th and the full support will be closed on May 29th.

Final Words

Fans of PUBG Lite can still play the game until the termination date. However, we are advising everyone to upgrade to the standard version of PUBG Mobile that is free to download from the Google Play Store and Android. While the system requirements are higher, the graphics settings of the game can be changed from the options menu.
