Samsung Galaxy Xcover 5 with Exynos 850 CPU and 4GB RAM Gets Leaked

Samsung Galaxy Xcover 5

Even though Samsung managed to take the smartphone industry by storm when it launched the next-gen Galaxy S21 Ultra, the South Korean-based tech giant is already getting ready to launch a new smartphone. The device is called Samsung Xcover 5 and it is a rugged smartphone.

Xcover 5 is the new version of Xcover 4 which launched back in 2017 and it comes with a slew of impressive features that people who enjoy outdoor activities will love about it. Samsung doesn’t want to reveal any exciting details about Galaxy Xcover 5 but fortunately, the smartphone’s key specs and features have been leaked.

Under the Hood

The upcoming smartphone will be powered by an Exynos 850 processor. This is a mid-range CPU that can handle any heavy-duty tasks without an issue. The CPU is paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage space that can be expanded via microSD. In addition, Samsung Xcover 5 is fueled by a 3,000 mAh battery.

Display Technology

Samsung’s devices are renowned for using innovative display technology and Samsung Galaxy Xcover 5 dual sim is not an exception to that rule. The device will ship with a 5.3-inch display that delivers a resolution of 1,480 x 720, and an aspect ratio of 16:9. To make things even better, the display is covered in Corning Gorilla Glass 6 for extra protection. However, this shouldn’t come as a surprise since this is a rugged smartphone.

Leaked Price and Launch Date

The press render and full hardware specs were not the only things to be leaked. The official Xcover 5 price was leaked as well. With that said, the smartphone will be priced at €289 and €299 ($348 – $360). Furthermore, Samsung is planning to launch the device sometime in March. We also want to mention that the leak was first spotted by the folks at Winfuture.
